CreativeMornings is a monthly breakfast lecture series for creative types. Each event is free of charge, and includes a 20 minute lecture, plus coffee!

On 31 January 2014, CreativeMornings Utrecht will host its 21st creative lecture at “In De Ruimte” (Oudegracht 230A), opening at 08:30 (AM). Presented by Remco Pijpers, his talk centers on this month’s global theme: Childhood. As CEO of youth knowledge and (digital) media center Mijn Kind Online (My Child Online), policy advisor to the European Union on digital media quality for children and (co-)author of several publications on key related issues, Pijpers is fascinated with what children do online. His latest project Codekinderen (Code Kids), aims to to stimulate creative and logical thinking by exposing children (ages 6 to 12) to the basics of “backend” digital media and coding in schools. With rapid advancements in technology nowadays, Pijpers is convinced that knowledge about code is increasingly vital to the future development of (your) children. ✌
