Indie BRANDS x phillipqgangan: Pelliano

In an age of disposable fashion, short-lived trends and ready-to-wear retail, the dapper gentleman seeks solace in all things well made. The seasonal onslaught of fickle fads leaves the style savvy unfazed, who pick and choose with meticulous detail. While making better decisions ultimately makes you a better man, Dutch menswear label Pelliano helps you dress like one.

Inspired by the sartorial elegance of classic men’s tailoring, Steijn Pelle, Bernd Damme, Adriaan Buyserd and Marin Licina launched Pelliano in October 2011. At a time when the resurgence of menswear was still a budding movement in the Netherlands, these young guns were determined to resurrect a timeless favourite: the knit tie. Their daring quest has led them through the cobbled streets of Cambridge and Milan to their home in Rotterdam, garnering a slew of awards en route.

What began as a homage to an iconic accessory has evolved into a vibrant collection of exquisite suits, pocket squares and bow ties. Hand-made in Italy from the finest of fabrics, Pelliano purveys premium wardrobe staples for the well-dressed, modern man. Weaving traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design, their top threads are as bold as the men who wear them. ✍
